LAW OF DOMINANCE

Law of dominance is proposed by Mendel on the basis on monohybrid experiments.

According to this law, “when hybridisation is carried out between two pure line individuals having a pair of contrasting characters, all the f1 individuals exhibit the same phenotype and the phenotype exhibited by the f1 corresponds to the dominant phenotype.”

For e.g.: Tall (T) is dominant phenotype over dwarf (t) for plant height in pea.
